A uniform policy reduces competition in dress and eliminates distractions caused by appearance. A neat, clean appearance of the whole student body is a factor in creating the proper learning atmosphere, promoting dignity and sensitivity towards others.

| Acceptable items of clothing: |
| Pants: |
Pants must be dress slacks (Docker style), in corduroy, twill or chinos in navy or khaki. Pleated or flat front is allowed with either regular or elastic waistband. No cargos, hipsters, flared, stone color or jean material are allowed. (Pants may be purchased at stores other than the uniform stores listed above.)

| Shirts, Sweaters, Sweatshirts: |
Polos, turtlenecks, mock turtlenecks, blouses and button-down shirts may be purchased in red, yellow, hunter green, navy or white. Sweaters (of any style) and sweatshirts may also be purchased in red, yellow, hunter green, navy or white. All pieces must be purchased from one of the above uniform sources. WHITE polos, turtlenecks, mock turtlenecks and button-down shirts with collars may be purchased anywhere. All sweaters and sweatshirts must be worn with either a turtleneck or collared shirt underneath them. Hooded sweatshirts may not be worn indoors. Plain white cotton t-shirts may only be worn under collared shirts. Shirts may be untucked if they are of reasonable length and undershirts are not visible. Shirts with tails must be tucked in.

| Jumpers, Skirts, Skorts: |
May be purchased in navy, khaki or Belair Plaid in any style from one of the above uniform sources. Belair Plaid is only available from the Uniform Place in Milwaukee. All jumpers, skirts and skorts must be an appropriate length for school.

| Shorts, Capris: |
May be purchased in navy, khaki or Belair Plaid. Shorts/capris may be worn from April 15th to October 31st. The principal shall have the option to shorten or lengthen the dates for shorts based on weather conditions. Bike shorts will be allowed under skirts and jumpers. Bike shorts are not allowed to extend below the skirt/jumper length.

| Spirit Wear: |
Will be available for purchase and can be worn as part of the uniform.

| Shoes: |
Students may wear leather dress shoes or gym shoes to school. Sandals may be worn during warm weather but must have a strap around the heel and safely secured to the child's foot. Clogs, crocs and flip-flops are not allowed.

| Winter Wear: |
From November 15th to March 15th, K-3 students must wear boots or have them available at school. Students in Grades K-3 must wear or have snow pants available at school from November 15th to March 15th. Grades 4-8 students must have boots or an extra pair of shoes available at school. Snow pants are mandatory in order to play on playground equipment from November 15th to March 15th.

| General Uniform Rules: |
Excessive or distracting jewelry are not allowed.
Baseball Caps may be worn to and from school only, and must be worn with the brims to the front. NO CAPS, HATS OR BANDANAS ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING.
Make up if reasonably applied, will be allowed for girls in grades 6, 7 & 8 only.
Distracting or inappropriate hairstyles are not allowed. The use of distracting hair dyes (i.e. green, blue, purple, etc.) is not allowed.
Tattoos and body piercings are not allowed.

The school will sponsor out of uniform days during the school year.
