Leave a Legacy
Bequests / Planned Giving
Bequests or Planned Giving allows you to make advance decisions about how you would like certain assets to be distributed after you’ve passed away, and to leave behind a legacy of your care and compassion. For recipient charitable organizations, planned gifts can ensure continuity by affirming sources of future income.
Whether supported through an outright gift or planned gift, Immaculate Conception Parish’s good works are made possible through the generosity and commitment of our Parish families and community supporters. A planned gift to Immaculate Conception Parish helps ensure the future of the ministries and programs we provide in our community, while supporting your financial goals.
Types of Bequests / Planned Gifts
Bequests / Planned Gifts may be made through your will, charitable gift annuities, gifts of life insurance, pooled income funds, and charitable trusts. There are a variety of estate planning “tools” that can provide you with tax benefits or income enhancement opportunities, while securing a future for Immaculate Conception (St Mary) Parish. For more information about planned giving for Immaculate Conception Parish, please call (262) 763-1500, email our Pastor at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call our Stewardship contact Steve Corbisier (414) 378-6649. All gifts will be recognized in the parish lobby, unless you wish to remain anonymous. Please click here to complete the form for Planned Giving and Bequests and you will be contacted by either Fr. Jim or Steve.
Bequests - You can make a charitable gift by naming Immaculate Conception Parish as a beneficiary in your will. A bequest of property, stocks, bonds or other assets to the church may result in current tax savings and future reductions in estate inheritance taxes for your heirs.
Retirement Plans -Your IRA assets can be transferred to a charitable remainder trust, which will provide life income to the beneficiary, and then an eventual gift to Immaculate Conception Parish.
Life Insurance Benefactor - You may make Immaculate Conception Parish a beneficiary of a life insurance policy. Your premium payments then become deductible from your income taxes. A new policy may be taken out in the name of Immaculate Conception Parish, or an established but no longer adequate or needed policy may be converted to the Parish.
Charitable Gift Annuity - Charitable annuities allow you to provide both a gift to Immaculate Conception Parish and a guaranteed income for life for yourself, your children or other designated recipients. You make a minimum cash donation to the church, and in return, you or your children are paid a fixed sum each year for life – essentially a percentage of interest earned on the donated funds.
Pooled Income Funds - Your gift of money, marketable securities, or both is invested together with similar gifts from other donors.
Heritage Fund - Designated for repairs and improvements to the church
Capital Improvement Fund - Set aside for future improvements such as carpet, statues, painting, remodeling, building projects, etc.
St Mary's School Inc. - Perpetual Fund set up where only the interest is used to support the needs of St Mary School and students from Immaculate Conception that attend Catholic Central High School.
Grade School Fund - Designated for improvements, repairs and replacement of items needed at the grade school such as desks, windows, AC, boiler, etc.
Emergency Fund - Contributions for immediate needs to the parish campus that are not budgeted for or expected.
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth…. But store up treasures in heaven…For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be." Matthew 6:19-21
